About Us
Malton White Star Band was formed circa 1900, from a nucleus of
experienced players and enthusiastic learners. The band is a non-contesting
band with the aim of providing enjoyment and pleasure for its members and
audiences. Playing engagements keeps the band busy throughout each year. Concerts are given at a variety of venues, including Churches, Show Grounds,
Garden Fetes, Old Folk's Homes, Seaside Band Stands and Civic events.
Christmas is also a very busy time. We use this season of goodwill to bring
much cheer to the local people.
The Band draws its members from within the boundary of Ryedale, with a
few members travelling from the surrounding districts.
We're always happy to welcome visitors and potential new players, young and
old.
The Band rehearses Thursday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 pm (
